Configure types, models, terminations, lengths, finishes and assembly costs.

What to do
- Select the speaker cable configurator in the Editor.
- Set up the FR, SBW or SBA types you need and assign the available models.
- Assign suitable terminations and complete per-metre and cover prices. Enter a price greater than zero only for the soldering options you want to offer.
- Save and test different lengths, checking the billed length and total.
Configurator
The speaker cable configurator lets you configure connections between an amplifier and speakers.
Types
Types define the cable configuration. Current layouts include Full Range (FR), Single Biwire (SBW) and Single BiAmp (SBA).
Models
Add the available models, complete their content and price per metre, then associate each model with at least one type.
Connectors
Add the available terminations and associate them with the correct types. BuildHype uses these associations to filter valid choices.
Length
The current logic uses a minimum billed length of 1 m and rounds upward to the next 0.5 m increment.
Covers and soldering
Cover pricing is calculated using billed metres.
Tin and silver soldering are configured separately for each cable type. Enter a price greater than zero to make an option available; leave the price blank or set it to zero to hide it. If no soldering option is available, the section is hidden and the customer can continue without selecting one.
When at least one soldering option is available, a selection is required, even if there is only one option. No soldering option is selected automatically. The customer can change their choice by selecting another available option. The corresponding price is added to the total and shown in the summary.
