Signal cables
Manage cable families, connector compatibility, physical quantity and specific options.

What to do
- Select the signal cable configurator in the Editor.
- For each type, define a single cable or pair, any GND option and the required input and output connector families.
- Assign the models; set a type and an RCA, XLR or mini-jack family for each connector.
- Save and test both ends, including any intended hybrid combinations.
Configurator
The signal cable configurator lets you configure analogue connections with RCA, XLR and mini-jack connectors.
Types
Each type can define physical cable count, GND and the required input and output connector families.
Models and associations
Every model must be associated with at least one type. If no valid type is selected, the model should not be available in the customer flow.
Soldering
Tin and silver soldering are configured separately for each cable type. Enter a price greater than zero to make an option available; leave the price blank or set it to zero to hide it. If no soldering option is available, the section is hidden and the customer can continue without selecting one.
When at least one soldering option is available, a selection is required, even if there is only one option. No soldering option is selected automatically. The customer can change their choice by selecting another available option. The corresponding price is added to the total and shown in the summary.
RCA · XLR · mini-jack
For each type, configure the required input and output connector families. The available families are RCA, XLR and mini-jack.
Families are defined separately for each end. This allows connections with the same family at both ends or hybrid combinations, when supported by the type and connector associations.
Connectors
Every signal cable connector must have at least one associated type and an RCA, XLR or mini-jack connector family.
Single cable, pair and GND
A type can represent a single cable or a pair. When Phono is selected, the Ground cable (GND) section appears after the model has been chosen. The customer can choose one of the available cables or None. The ground cable is independent of the model and can be used with RCA, XLR or mini-jack connections. Its price is calculated per metre over the selected length, for a single ground cable, and added to the total as a separate item in the summary.
Final checks
- Verify model-to-type associations.
- Verify the RCA, XLR and mini-jack families required at the input and output.
- Test supported hybrid configurations.
- Check physical quantity and GND.
- Verify summary and total.
