Add consistent, lightweight images for models, connectors and covers.

What to do
- Open the model, connector or cover in the Editor.
- Use Upload image or the URL field, where available; choose an image of the correct product.
- Save and check that the image appears in the public configurator.
- Check on a phone too: the product should remain recognisable without important parts being cropped.
Upload an image
Use the Upload image action in the Editor or enter an image URL where supported. Editor uploads accept JPEG, PNG, WebP and GIF, up to 8 MiB per file. Backup limits are separate.
When an image is missing
If no real image exists, BuildHype can display a placeholder in the frontend. The placeholder should not be treated as the actual product image.
Recommended preparation
Use clean and consistent images. For BuildHype images, a maximum long side of 1600 px, WebP format and no artificial upscaling of smaller files are recommended.
Create full backup
A full backup includes images uploaded for that configurator and downloads external images referenced by the catalog. Formats: JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF and AVIF; maximum 20 MiB per image, 5,000 images and 512 MiB overall. An unavailable or invalid image prevents full backup creation.
